We’re the crew that shows up when your kitchen’s under two inches of water or when a mold test came back with numbers nobody wants to explain to their insurance adjuster. Every person on this page lives in North County San Diego, works out of our San Marcos warehouse off Las Posas Road, and has signed the same Haven Standard pledge that Alicia Brennan wrote in 2011. What unites us isn’t a motivational poster. It’s the shared experience of walking into someone’s worst day and leaving it measurably better than we found it.

Alicia Brennan, Owner & Founder
I started DryMark Restoration San Marcos in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster watching homeowners lose tens of thousands on legitimate water damage claims. The documentation was never there. Photos were missing, drying logs were blank, and adjusters had no choice but to deny coverage. I built this company to close that gap, one written scope and one photo record at a time. I still review every job file before it goes to an insurance carrier, and I still answer the phone myself when the overnight dispatcher flags a complex claim. The dry irony of running a company called DryMark while spending my days knee-deep in other people’s floods has not escaped me, though I save the jokes for after the pumps are running.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2017 and holds his IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certifications. He’s the person who decides whether your subfloor needs Injectidry mat drying or if we can hit our moisture-content targets with standard LGR dehumidification. Marcus grew up in Vista and still lives there with two rescue pit bulls who, he claims, are better judges of character than he is. Homeowners regularly request him by name after seeing his daily moisture logs, which he writes in the kind of detail that makes adjusters stop asking follow-up questions.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena joined us in 2019 with eight years of remediation experience already behind her, and she quickly became our go-to for containment builds in San Marcos’s older neighborhoods, where knob-and-tube wiring and asbestos-containing mastic complicate every demolition decision. She’s certified in IICRC Mold Remediation (AMRT) and holds her California asbestos supervisor license. Elena commutes from Escondido and spends her weekends restoring a 1974 Datsun 240Z that she bought non-running and has since nursed back to daily-driver status. She approaches mold containment with the same patience, building negative-air enclosures that hold their pressure differential for days.
David K., Service Coordinator
David is the voice you’ll hear when you call our San Marcos line at (858) 434-8474, and he’s the person who makes sure Marcus or Elena arrives with the right equipment loadout instead of figuring it out on your driveway. He’s been with us since 2020 and knows every carrier’s preferred vendor program requirements by heart, which means your claim documentation often arrives pre-formatted for your adjuster’s system. David lives in San Elijo Hills and coaches a U-12 soccer team that, by his own admission, loses beautifully. He takes genuine satisfaction in calling a homeowner at 6 a.m. to say the crew is fifteen minutes out, not two hours late.
Jesse P., Restoration Apprentice
Jesse started with us in 2023 after completing Palomar College’s Building Construction Technology program, and he’s currently working toward his IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification while logging hours on water and mold crews. He’s the person who measures every affected room to the inch, photographs each elevation, and builds the initial moisture map that Marcus uses to set the drying strategy. Jesse grew up in Twin Oaks Valley and still points out houses he helped restore when his family drives through San Marcos. He asks more questions than anyone on the team, which is exactly why we hired him.
One Standard, Every Job
The Haven Standard travels with us on every job, whether we’re extracting sewage in San Marcos or coordinating a fire rebuild through our network partners across California. Haven Standard, Clause 1, requires a written price before any work starts, and every technician on this page has the authority to stop a job if that price hasn’t been delivered and signed. The daily photo record, the psychrometric drying log showing vapor pressure differential and grain depression, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise are not department responsibilities. They’re individual ones, signed by whoever walks through your door. We’ve restored over 12,000 homes since 2011, and the file on every one of them is searchable by address, date, and technician name. That’s not a system we bought. It’s the standard we built.
